re:Learn

In 2023, I decided to go on a self-learning sabbatical, and get reacquainted with the developer languages and tools that I had begun to lose touch with over the past few years.

This learning journey is meant to refresh my front-end developer skills, starting with the basics: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

New skills I plan to add include Vue.js and React.js, and even some database interaction.

I also plan to build my own design system (using Figma and Storyboard) and then, in turn, create and design several mobile-first applications. So much to do! Such fun!

Why do all this? So that I can be an even more effective UI/UX designer. Being able to talk tech with the dev team, about application interface issues, possibilities and limits, is critical to the success of any project.

Be sure to check back over the coming year as I post new completed certifications and skill assessments.
